The goals of this ministry are:
To help 6th graders grow in their knowledge, understanding, and relationship with God and His son Jesus Christ.
To help 6th graders with the transition from the Children’s Ministry to the Youth Ministry.
To help the 6th grade students build a sense of community among the other students in 6th grade so that they can be bonded as they enter the Youth Ministry.
To teach the 6th graders Biblical and practical skills that will help them deal with pressures and experiences that they will encounter as they become teenagers.
To help the 6th graders build relationships with their adult leaders so that they can look to these adults as mentors and depend on them for solid, Biblical advice.

Sunday School:
The curriculum used on Sunday mornings is Everything You Need to Know to Be a Teenager. This curriculum, published by Lifeway, “makes that difficult preteen-to-teen transition just a little bit easier. It’s an entire year’s worth of Bible study that helps sixth graders move from Bible stories to life-changing Bible studies.” Listed below are the 3 different elements to each lesson.

Discuss and Do:
*Interactive Methods to spark the attention of the 6th graders and help them focus on the upcoming Bible Study
*Allow them to play the game, move around, be active.

Dig:
*Guide the 6th graders through Bible Story.
*Allow them to dig into the Bible to reveal what the Bible has to say to them.
Decide:
*Help the 6th graders realize how the Bible Story relates to their everyday lives.
*Allow them to be active and have fun!
