The Book of Ephesians by J. D. Greear
Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we’ve been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world.
Pastor and author J.D. Greear walks through the powerful words of Paul. In 9 sessions, J.D. digs into the text of Ephesians verse-by-verse and challenges believers to live out the gospel. If the people of your city, of your school, of your family are going to hear the gospel, it’s going to be from your mouth. Encounter Ephesians, and get swept up into the story of Jesus.

Abide: A Study of 1, 2, and 3 John by Jen Wilkin
“Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you.” – 1 John 2:24
How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

Identity: My Life of Faith
Who are you? People define themselves by their role in a family, the work they do, their family history, or their interests and passions. For followers of Jesus, identity is wrapped up in who Jesus is – and His lordship over our lives. As believers, we never lose our uniqueness in our various roles, but those roles are transformed by our life of faith – our true, defining identity. How we serve our families, carry out our work, and live out our faith is a strong, consistent witness of our relationship to Jesus Christ.
Led by Tim Hawkins, Discipleship Pastor. This study is ideal for anyone new to Riverland Hills or seeking a group Bible study experience. Studies are interactive and everyone will be encouraged to participate but not pressured. No homework, but reading your Bible is highly recommended. Open for all adults and you’re welcome to join any Sunday!
Did you miss Sunday’s Bible Study? No worries – each Bible study is repeated on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM in B201.
