- Lead and implement a mission strategy that aligns with Riverland Hills’ mission to make disciples and its vision for transformational community impact
- Ensure all mission efforts reflect the church’s core values and ministry philosophy
- Regularly evaluate effectiveness and provide direction for growth and refinement
- Oversee community outreach initiatives and partnerships within the Midlands and surrounding areas

- Maintain organized systems for tracking engagement, trips, and partnerships

- Share stories that inspire participation and generosity
- Preach or teach as requested, especially on outreach, evangelism, and living on mission
- A clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to pastoral ministry
- Alignment with Riverland Hills Baptist Church’s doctrine, mission, and values
- Bachelor’s degree required; seminary or theological training preferred
- 5+ years of SBC ministry experience, with SBC missions or outreach leadership
- Strong leadership, relational, and organizational skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to teach and inspire
- Cross-cultural ministry experience is highly valued
- Passion for the Great Commission and disciple-making

Position Summary:
Riverland Hills Baptist Church is seeking a passionate and organized Church Chef/Kitchen Coordinator to oversee and lead all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations. This individual will play a vital role in supporting our ministry through meal services for church events, Wednesday night dinners, special gatherings, and other hospitality needs. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, a heart for service, and the ability to manage both volunteers and logistics with excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and cook meals for weekly church events and special occasions
Coordinate food service for Wednesday night suppers, church luncheons, and ministry functions
Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, inventory, and budgeting
Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary environment according to DHEC standards
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to assist with meal prep, serving, and cleanup
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas and equipment
Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to support various church events with hospitality needs
Manage dietary restrictions or special meal requests as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience in culinary arts, food service, or commercial kitchen management required
ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead and work alongside volunteers of all ages
A heart for ministry and serving others through hospitality
Physical ability to stand, lift, and work in a kitchen environment for extended periods
Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Riverland Hills Baptist Church
Working Hours:
Primarily weekday hours with some evening and weekend responsibilities depending on the church calendar and events.

Riverland Hills Baptist Church is seeking a dependable and skilled Part-Time Sous Chef/Kitchen Assistant to support our food service and hospitality ministries. This role assists with meal preparation for church events, ministry gatherings, and special functions, helping create a welcoming environment through quality food and service. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, and able to work collaboratively in a ministry-focused setting.
- Part-time hours
- Availability required during daytime, evenings, and weekends
- Schedule will vary based on church events and ministry needs
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and plating meals for church events and programs
- Support menu planning and food preparation under the direction of the Food Services Director
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist with food inventory, storage, and proper handling procedures
- Help with setup and breakdown for events and meals
- Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers
- Uphold the mission, values, and hospitality standards of Riverland Hills Baptist Church
- Previous experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Perform routine cleaning of buildings, including classrooms, restrooms, worship spaces, offices, and common areas.
- Assist with room setups and breakdowns for worship services, meetings, and special events.
- Support basic maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting.

Riverland Hills Baptist Church is seeking a talented and reliable Sound Engineer/Technical Assistant to support our Modern Worship ministry. This individual will work closely with our Modern Worship Pastor and tech team to ensure a high-quality audio and production experience that enhances our worship gatherings and special events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate and mix live audio during Modern Worship services and rehearsals
- Set up, test, and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting equipment as needed
- Maintain and organize the stage and tech areas
- Assist with midweek rehearsals, worship nights, and special events
- Support recording and live stream needs for services and online platforms
- Perform regular maintenance and inventory of sound and technical equipment
- Collaborate with volunteers and staff to maintain a high standard of excellence
- Proficient in live sound mixing (digital consoles, IEMs, wireless systems)
- Experience with ProPresenter, Dante, Ableton, and other worship-related technology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- A heart for worship and a commitment to supporting the mission of the church
- Prior experience in church or live production settings preferred
