Shane serves Riverland Hills as our Executive Pastor. His wife, Lydia, and he are from the Columbia area, and they are blessed to have two children: Wiley and Evie.
Over their almost 25 years of marriage, the journey has included pastoral ministry in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Kentucky, as well as administrative leadership and faculty roles in theological education. Over that time, Shane has also had the joy of co-authoring several works including: Leading from the Foundation Up: How Fearing God Builds Stronger Leaders; The Pastor’s Life: Practical Wisdom from the Puritans; and Transformission: Making Disciples through Short-term Missions. Through these decades of ministry service, the Lord has been so very faithful to work for His glory and their good.
My desire from the earliest days of embracing God’s call to ministry has been to develop and support leaders in and for the church, for the glory of God. I’m eager to work together with the Riverland Hills church family, as we exalt Christ through service to one another, among our neighbors, and to the ends of the earth.

Communion with God by John Owen
The Gospel according to Matthew has been particularly meaningful in my life. Here, Jesus is clearly depicted as the Messiah, establishing His Kingdom, and extending His reign to the ends of the earth, through Great Commission advance.
