Jonathan serves as the Missions Pastor and has been at Riverland Hills since 2022. Before joining our staff, he served abroad for 10 years with Africa Inland Mission. He is highly relational and has a heart for spreading the Gospel through missions.
His highest passion is to see the name of Jesus exalted among all the peoples of the world! “I long to see God’s people living out their faith daily, so that, beginning from home, we intentionally and relationally extend the gospel message and the kingdom of Christ to the ends of the earth.” Jonathan is married to Abby.
“I was moved into missions in 2007 by encountering an unreached people in the mountains of Mexico. That trip opened my eyes to the needs of the world and changed the direction of my life forever. I want the rest of my life to be spent for the cause of missions, serving where I can be most effective in reaching the unreached.”

Let the Nations Be Glad! The Supremacy of God in Missions by John Piper
The Acts of the Apostles – No other book of the Bible has more shaped my understanding of missions, evangelism, cross-cultural communication, church polity, discipleship, and leadership development than the book of Acts. It provides the model for New Testament church ministry and gospel expansion until Jesus returns.
