The Gospel of Matthew has been especially meaningful to me. The sacrificial substitution Jesus made on our behalf is overwhelming. The parables of the pearl of great price and the treasure in the field are significant to me. It is remarkable to read about those disciples who followed Jesus immediately once called, versus the rich young man who did not. And of course, the Great Commission provides clear intent and guidance for us all.
